KatanaPIM Configuration Reference

Complete settings reference for the KatanaPIM Connect extension.

General Configuration

Navigate to Stores → Configuration → Katana PIM → General or via the admin menu Katana PIM → Configuration.

General

Setting	Description
Enabled	Enable or disable the KatanaPIM integration

API

Setting	Description
URL	Your KatanaPIM instance URL
Key	API key from your KatanaPIM account (encrypted)
Test Credentials	Button to verify your API connection

Import Settings

Batch Size Settings

Control how many entities are processed per batch:

Setting	Description
Import PIM products page size	Number of products to fetch from PIM per batch
Create Magento products page size	Number of Magento products to create per batch
Import attributes page size	Number of attributes to import per batch
Import categories page size	Number of categories to import per batch
Import Katana assets page size	Number of assets to fetch from PIM per batch
Import Magento assets page size	Number of Magento assets to process per batch

Async Update Settings

Setting	Description
Concurrency Limit	Maximum concurrent async requests (prevents Redis overload)

Reindex Data

Setting	Description
Init Reindex after full sync	Trigger Magento reindex after full sync (not recommended for production)

Store Filter

Setting	Description
Import Stores	Button to import available stores from KatanaPIM
Store Filter	Filter imports to specific KatanaPIM store

Import New Products in Websites

Setting	Description
Websites	Select which Magento websites new products should be assigned to

Store Languages

Setting	Description
Store Language Mapping	Map KatanaPIM language codes to Magento store views. Use `default` (lowercase) for the PIM's default language.

Debug & Logging

Setting	Description
Debug Mode	Enable detailed logging to `var/log/`
View Logs	Button to access debug and error logs

Product Data Configuration

Navigate to Stores → Configuration → Katana PIM → Product Data.

General

Setting	Description
Enable Product Import	Enable/disable product synchronization
If SKU exists update product	Link existing Magento products by SKU to KatanaPIM products

Attributes

Map KatanaPIM attributes to Magento product fields:

Setting	Description
Name	KatanaPIM attribute to use for product name
Short Description	KatanaPIM attribute for short description
Description	KatanaPIM attribute for full description
GTIN	KatanaPIM attribute for GTIN/EAN
Manufacturer Part Number	KatanaPIM attribute for MPN
Attachments	KatanaPIM attribute for product attachments
Meta Keywords	KatanaPIM attribute for meta keywords
Meta Description	KatanaPIM attribute for meta description
Meta Title	KatanaPIM attribute for meta title

Asset Data

Setting	Description
Import Video to Gallery	Include videos from PIM in product gallery
Title Attribute	KatanaPIM attribute for video title
Gallery Position	Default position for videos in gallery
Compare Image Hash	Compare image hashes to detect changes (reduces unnecessary updates)

Product Import Defaults

Default values for newly created products:

Setting	Description
Status	Default product status (Enabled/Disabled)
Visibility	Default visibility (Not Visible, Catalog, Search, Both)
Use config manage stock	Use global stock management settings
Is in stock	Default stock status for new products

Price Updates

Setting	Description
Update product price changes	Sync price, special_price, and cost from PIM

Category Data Configuration

Navigate to Stores → Configuration → Katana PIM → Category Data.

General

Setting	Description
Enable Category Import	Enable/disable category synchronization
If name exists link category	Link existing Magento categories by name to KatanaPIM categories (when depth matches)

Automation Configuration

Navigate to Stores → Configuration → Katana PIM → Automation.

Settings

Setting	Description
Enable Automation	Enable cron-based automatic synchronization
Auto create new products	Allow cron to create new Magento products
Auto create new categories	Allow cron to create new Magento categories

Cron Settings

Setting	Description
Full Update	Frequency for complete sync (daily, weekly, etc.)
Incremental Update	Frequency for delta sync (hourly, every 4 hours, etc.)
