Quick Start Guide

This guide gets you up and running with the Digitec Galaxus Integration in about 5 minutes. We'll cover the essential setup: enabling the module, connecting via FTP, and getting your first product feed generated. For detailed configuration options, check the Configuration Guide.

Prerequisites

• Module installed and cache cleared
• FTP credentials from your Digitec Galaxus account manager
• Products with valid identifiers (EAN/GTIN)

Step 1: Enable the Module

Navigate to: Digitec Galaxus → General Settings → General

Set Enable to Yes.

Step 2: Configure FTP Connection

Navigate to: Digitec Galaxus → General Settings → FTP

Configure:

• Enable: Yes
• Host: Your FTP host (e.g., ftp.digitecgalaxus.ch)
• FTP User: Your username
• FTP Pass: Your password

Click Test FTP Connection to verify the credentials work.

Step 3: Select Feed Stores

Navigate to: Digitec Galaxus → General Settings → Feed Automation

In Select Stores, configure which Magento store views to include in your feeds.

Note: Contact Digitec Galaxus before enabling additional stores beyond your initial agreement.

Step 4: Configure Product Content

Navigate to: Digitec Galaxus → Product Feed → Product Data

Enable at least one language and map your attributes:

German (required for Swiss German market):

• German: Yes
• Product Title: Select your product name attribute
• Product Title Tag: Select your short description attribute
• Description: Select your description attribute

Repeat for French and Italian if you sell in those regions.

Step 5: Generate Your First Feed

Run the feed generation manually to test:

bin/magento digitecgalaxus:run-generate-feed

Or generate a specific feed type:

bin/magento digitecgalaxus:run-generate-feed --type=data

Check the output for:

• Number of valid products
• Number of invalid products
• Feed file path

Step 6: Enable Automation

Navigate to: Digitec Galaxus → General Settings → Feed Automation

Enable automation for each feed type:

Product Data:

• Automate: Yes
• Frequency: Once daily (recommended)

Product Stock Pricing:

• Automate: Yes
• Frequency: Every 4 hours or higher (recommended)

Product Properties:

• Automate: Yes
• Frequency: Once daily

Product Accessories:

• Automate: Yes
• Frequency: Once daily

Step 7: Configure Order Import (Optional)

If importing orders from Digitec Galaxus:

Navigate to: Digitec Galaxus → General Settings → Order Automation

1. Configure store paths (provided by Digitec Galaxus):

   • Path In: Folder for incoming orders
   • Path Out: Folder for outgoing confirmations

2. Enable automation:

   • Automate: Yes
   • Frequency: Every 15 minutes (recommended)

Navigate to: Digitec Galaxus → Order Synchronization → Order Import

Configure shipping method and customer settings.

Verify Everything Works

1. Run Self-Test:

   bin/magento digitec:selftest
   

2. Check Feeds:

   • Look in var/export/digitecgalaxus/ for generated CSV files
   • Verify product counts match expectations

3. Monitor Logs:

   • Check var/log/digitec-galaxus.log for any errors
