Quick Start Guide

This is the quick start guide for Google Merchant Reviews. We'll get you up and running in about 5 minutes. You'll enable the survey opt-in on your checkout success page and optionally display the Google review badge. Before you start, make sure you have your Google Merchant Center account ready.

Prerequisites

• Module installed and enabled
• Cache cleared
• Google Merchant Center account with Merchant ID

Step 1: Find Your Merchant ID

Your Merchant ID is required for both the survey opt-in and the badge.

1. Sign in to Google Merchant Center
2. Click the settings icon (gear) in the top right
3. Your Merchant ID is displayed at the top

Keep this number handy - you'll need it in the next steps.

Step 2: Enable the Module

Navigate to: Stores → Configuration → Magmodules → Google Merchant Reviews

In the General section:

• Set Enabled to Yes

Step 3: Configure Survey Opt-In

In the Survey email opt-in section:

• Enabled: Yes
• MerchantID: Enter your Merchant ID from Step 1
• Style: Center Dialog (recommended for visibility)
• Days for deliver: Enter your typical shipping + delivery time (e.g., 5)

Save the configuration.

Step 4: Configure the Badge (Optional)

In the Google Review Badge section:

• Enabled: Yes
• MerchantID: Enter your Merchant ID
• Position: Bottom Right (most common)
• Language: Select your store's language

Save the configuration.

Step 5: Test Your Setup

Before going live, test your implementation:

1. Go to Testing & Logging section
2. Enable Test Mode
3. Save configuration
4. Place a test order and complete checkout
5. Verify the opt-in dialog appears on the success page
6. Check that the badge appears on your site (if enabled)

Once confirmed working, disable Test Mode to go live.

Verification Checklist

✅ Module enabled
✅ Merchant ID entered correctly
✅ Survey opt-in appears on checkout success
✅ Badge displays (if enabled)
✅ Test Mode disabled for production
