Manage Assets Grid in Magento 2

Manage imported images and videos in the KatanaPIM Connect Assets grid. View asset status and create Magento product gallery items.

Accessing the Grid

Navigate to Katana PIM → Assets in the admin menu.

Grid Columns

Additional columns (hidden): Asset ID, Katana ID, Title, Magento Filename, Error Message.

How Assets Enter the Grid

Assets appear when:

1. Full Sync with assets - All product assets imported
2. Incremental Sync - Changed assets imported
3. Assets linked to imported products

Assets require their parent product to exist in the PIM table first.

Image Hash Comparison

Enable Compare Image Hash in configuration to:

• Detect image changes without re-downloading
• Reduce bandwidth and sync time
• Only update when content actually changes

Force Update

Use force option when:

• Images appear corrupted
• PIM images updated but hash unchanged
• Troubleshooting image issues
