Manage Attributes Grid in Magento 2

Manage attribute mapping in the KatanaPIM Connect Attributes grid. Map PIM attributes to Magento attributes using inline editing.

Accessing the Grid

Navigate to Katana PIM → Attributes in the admin menu.

Grid Columns

Column	Description
ID	Internal attribute ID
Katana Attribute Name	Attribute label from PIM
Katana Attribute Code	Attribute code from PIM
Type	Attribute type (text, select, etc.)
Magento Attribute Code	Mapped Magento attribute (editable)
Is Configurable	Used for configurable products (editable)
Skipped	Excluded from sync
Deleted	Deleted in Magento
Is Deleted	Deleted in PIM
Updated	Last update timestamp
Needs Update	Requires sync

Inline Editing

This grid supports inline editing for quick attribute configuration:

Mapping Attributes

Click on the Magento Attribute Code cell
Select from dropdown:
- -- Not Mapped -- - Don't sync this attribute
- Create New - Create a new Magento attribute
- [existing attribute] - Map to existing attribute
Click outside the cell to save

Setting Configurable

Click on the Is Configurable cell
Select Yes or No
Click outside to save

Set to Yes for attributes used in configurable products (Size, Color, etc.).

Grid Actions

Button	Description
Import Attributes	Fetch attributes from KatanaPIM

Mass Actions

Action	Description
Inline Edit	Edit multiple selected rows
Update/Create Magento Attribute	Create mapped attributes in Magento
Delete Magento Attribute	Remove attributes (katanapim_ prefix only)
Delete Records	Remove from KatanaPIM table
Mark Attributes as Skipped	Exclude from sync
Unmark Attributes as Skipped	Include in sync

Workflow

Import - Click Import Attributes to fetch from PIM
Review - Check all available PIM attributes
Map - Use inline edit to map to Magento attributes
Configure - Set Is Configurable for variant attributes
Skip - Mark unwanted attributes as skipped
Create - Use mass action to create Magento attributes

Auto-Created Attributes

When selecting "Create New":

Code: katanapim_ + original code
Scope: Global
Type: Based on PIM type
Visible: No (frontend)
