Configure the Product Review Reminder configuration

Complete configuration reference for the Product Review Reminder extension. These global settings apply across all invitation profiles and control how the module handles reviews, coupons, and automation.

General

Basic module settings.

Setting	Description
Enabled	Master switch for the extension. When disabled, no emails are sent and queue processing stops.

Configuration

Review behavior and automation settings.

Review Settings

Setting	Description
Review Mail Link Text	Text displayed on the review link button in emails. Customize to match your brand voice.
Auto approve new review	Automatically approve reviews submitted through reminder emails. Saves manual moderation but reduces quality control.
Send coupon on	When to send coupon emails: on first review only, every review, or based on other criteria.
Allow multiple reviews	Let customers submit multiple reviews per order. If disabled, one review per order is allowed.
Mask email in frontend form	Partially hide customer email address on the review form (e.g., j***@example.com) for privacy.

Admin Notifications

Setting	Description
Admin reminder on new review	Send notification email to admin when a customer submits a review.
Email	Which store email identity receives the admin notifications. Only shown when reminder is enabled.

Product Relations

Control how reviews are assigned to parent products.

Setting	Description
Add placed review to Configurable Parent if available	Reviews for simple products can be assigned to their configurable parent, the simple product, or both.
Add placed review to Grouped Parent if available	Assign reviews from grouped product children to the parent product.
Add placed review to Bundled Parent if available	Assign reviews from bundle product children to the parent product.

Automation

Cron job frequencies for queue processing.

Setting	Description
Order Queue Processing	How often the system checks for new orders to add to the review reminder queue. More frequent = faster queue building but higher server load.
Review Reminder Email Dispatch	How often queued review reminders are processed and sent. More frequent = emails sent closer to scheduled time.

Frequency Options:

Every 15 minutes
Every 30 minutes
Every hour
Every 2 hours
Every 6 hours
Every 12 hours
Once daily

Debug & Logging

Troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.

Setting	Description
Debug Mode	Enable detailed logging for troubleshooting. Writes debug information to `var/log/`. Disable in production after troubleshooting.
Download Logs	Download log files for inspection.
Run Self Test	Performs diagnostic checks on the extension configuration and displays results.

Recommended Settings

For Most Stores

Auto approve: No (maintain quality control)
Allow multiple reviews: No (one per order is usually sufficient)
Order Queue Processing: Every hour
Email Dispatch: Every 30 minutes

For High-Volume Stores

Order Queue Processing: Every 2 hours (reduce server load)
Email Dispatch: Every hour

For Testing

Debug Mode: Yes (remember to disable after testing)
Order Queue Processing: Every 15 minutes
Email Dispatch: Every 15 minutes
