Quick Start Guide for SEO Meta Templates

This is the quick start guide for the SEO Meta Templates extension. We'll get you up and running in about 5 minutes. This covers the basics — enabling the module, creating your first template, and verifying it works on the frontend. If you're new to this or just want to get started quickly, you're in the right place.

Get SEO Meta Templates running in 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

• Module installed and enabled
• Cache cleared
• At least one product or category in your catalog

Step 1: Enable the Module

Navigate to: Stores > Configuration > Magmodules > MetaTemplates > General

Set Enabled to Yes and save.

Step 2: Create Your First Template

Navigate to: Marketing > SEO Meta Templates > Manage Templates

Click Add New Template and fill in:

• Template Name: Product Meta Defaults
• Active: On
• Entity Type: Product
• Store Views: All Store Views
• Priority: 10

Under Template Patterns, add:

• Meta Title Template: {name}[ - {color}] | {store_name}
• Meta Description Template: Buy {name}[ in {color}] from {store_name}[. Browse our {category} collection.]
• Meta Keywords Template: {name}, {sku}[, {brand}][, {color}], {category}
• H1 Template: {name}

Click Save.

Step 3: Verify on the Frontend

Open any product page on the frontend. View the page source or inspect the <title> and <meta> tags. You should see the values generated from your template, with the product's actual name, color, category and store name filled in.

Use the Preview feature in the template form to test against a specific SKU before checking the frontend.
