Quick Start Guide for Shopreview Extension

Get your Shopreview extension up and running quickly. This guide covers the essential steps to start collecting store reviews.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

• Magento 2.4.4 or higher
• PHP 7.4 or higher
• Admin access to your Magento store

Step 1: Enable the Extension

1. Go to Stores → Configuration → Magmodules → Shopreview
2. In the General section, set Enabled to Yes
3. Click Save Config
4. Clear cache: System → Cache Management → Flush Magento Cache

Step 2: Create Your First Review Form

1. Go to Marketing → Shopreview → Review Forms
2. Click Add New
3. Fill in the basic settings:
   • Page Title: Name for your review page
   • URL Key: URL path for the review page (e.g., store-reviews)
   • Store View: Select which stores can access this form
4. Add form fields using the field builder
5. Click Save

Step 3: Configure Frontend Settings

1. Go to Stores → Configuration → Magmodules → Shopreview
2. In the Frontend section:
   • Reviews Per Page: Set pagination (5-100)
   • Default Sorting: Choose how reviews are sorted
   • Allow Guests to Write Reviews: Enable for non-logged-in visitors
   • Auto Approve Reviews: Enable to skip moderation
3. Click Save Config

Step 4: Add Widget (Optional)

1. Go to Content → Widgets → Add Widget
2. Select Type: Shopreview
3. Configure widget settings:
   • Sidebar Title: Widget header text
   • Review Form: Select your form
   • Display Summary of Average Score: Show overall rating
   • Display Average Score in Stars: Visual star rating
   • Display Reviews: Show individual reviews
4. Set widget placement in Layout Updates
5. Click Save

Step 5: Test Your Setup

1. Visit your review page at: yourstore.com/[url-key]
2. Submit a test review
3. Check the review in Marketing → Shopreview → Reviews
4. Approve the review if auto-approve is disabled
5. Verify the review displays on the frontend

Verification Checklist

After setup, verify:

• Extension is enabled in configuration
• At least one review form exists
• Form is assigned to correct store view
• Review page is accessible on frontend
• Widget displays correctly (if configured)
