Get Started with SnelStart for Magento 2

Get your Magento store connected to SnelStart in minutes. This guide walks you through the essential setup steps to start syncing invoices automatically. The connection uses OAuth, so you don't need API keys - just log in to SnelStart and authorize access.

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

• Active SnelStart account
• Admin access to both Magento and SnelStart
• Tax rules configured in Magento (Stores → Tax Rules)

Step 1: Enable the Module

1. Go to Stores → Configuration → Accounting → SnelStart
2. Set Enabled to Yes
3. Set Synchronization frequency (recommended: Every 15 minutes)
4. Click Save Config

Step 2: Connect to SnelStart

1. In the Connection section, set Enabled to Yes
2. Click Connect to SnelStart
3. You'll be redirected to SnelStart login
4. Log in with your SnelStart credentials
5. Authorize the Magmodules application
6. You'll be redirected back to Magento

After successful connection, you'll see:

• Account: Your SnelStart account name
• Company: Your company name
• One Stop Shop: OSS status from SnelStart

Step 3: Import Ledgers

1. Go to Ledger Accounts & Cost Centers section
2. Click Sync Ledger & Costs from SnelStart
3. Wait for import to complete
4. Configure default ledgers by tax rate:

Step 4: Map Tax Rates

1. Go to Accounting → Configuration → Tax Rate Mapping
2. For each Magento tax rule, select the corresponding SnelStart tax rate
3. Common mappings:

4. Changes save automatically

Step 5: Enable Automation

1. Go to Stores → Configuration → Accounting → General
2. Set Enabled to Yes
3. Configure:
   • Auto add invoices and creditmemos: Yes
   • Auto add customers: Yes
4. Click Save Config

Step 6: Test the Connection

1. Create a test order in Magento
2. Create an invoice for the order
3. Go to Accounting → Data → Invoices
4. Verify the invoice appears in the grid
5. Wait for cron to run (or manually push)
6. Check Accounting → Synchronisation Logs → Invoice for results
7. Verify in SnelStart the invoice was created

You're Done!

Your Magento store is now connected to SnelStart. New invoices and credit memos will automatically sync based on your cron schedule.
