Quick Start Guide for Spotler Activate Search

This is the quick start guide for Spotler Activate Search. We'll get your search feed generated and the frontend search working in about 10 minutes. This covers the essentials - connecting your account, generating your first feed, and enabling the search overlay.

Prerequisites

• Module installed and cache cleared
• A Spotler Activate Search account
• Your Sooqr Account ID (format: SQ-123456-1)

Step 1: Enable the Module

Navigate to: Stores > Configuration > Spotler > General

Set Enable to Yes and save.

Step 2: Enter Account ID

Still in General > Credentials:

1. Select your Environment (Production or Staging)
2. Switch to the store view scope (top left dropdown)
3. Enter your Sooqr Account ID (e.g., SQ-123456-1)
4. Save configuration

Tip: Find your Account ID in your Spotler dashboard under account settings.

Step 3: Enable Feed Generation

Navigate to: Stores > Configuration > Spotler > Data

In the General section:

• Set Enable to Yes
• Filename can stay default or customize
• Set Cron Frequency for automatic updates

Save configuration.

Step 4: Generate Your First Feed

Run the CLI command:

bin/magento sooqr:feed:create

Or generate from admin:

• Go to Spotler > Feed Log (menu)
• Click Generate Feed button

The feed URL appears in the configuration under Data > General - copy this for Spotler.

Step 5: Enable Frontend Search

Navigate to: Stores > Configuration > Spotler > Search

In Frontend Implementation:

• Set Enable Search to Yes
• Choose your Sooqr Loader preference

Save and clear cache.

Verify It Works

1. Feed: Check the feed log grid at Spotler > Feed Log - should show successful generation
2. Search: Visit your frontend and use the search box - Spotler overlay should appear

What's Next

The basic setup is done. For optimal results:

• Configure attribute mapping in Data > Product Data
• Set up product type handling (configurable, bundle, grouped)
• Add filters to exclude out-of-stock or hidden products
• Enable CMS pages export if you want them searchable
